January Blues Anyone?

It’s actually 2019 already, and we’re well into to the New Year!

How has it been so far for you?

After Christmas I find it can feel a bit strange.

Family and friends have all gone back to where they were visiting from, or you’re back from your visits.

There’s no excuse now for cracking open the Bailey’s at 11am and overeating.

All those card payments have cleared and the direct debits have come out. It feels like a long month.

Also for most people it’s back to the usual routine of morning alarms for work, school drop offs, or even starting job applications following a decision to change jobs. And its so dark.

Something I’ve learned is that it really helps to have something to look forward to, to find motivation and to share when things aren’t so great.

Looking back over my blog, I’ve written about it too (quite a lot as it happens) based on my own experiences.

I don’t expect you to go searching through my posts, oh no. Below, I have linked to the blog posts that I think will be the most relevant. They won’t change your life, but there might be something in them which resonates with you.

Click on the word(s) below which most relate to how you want to feel right now.

Motivated

Ready to make a change

Positive, lighter mood

Ready to check your bank balance

I’d love to know if any of my posts were helpful (or not) and what tips you have to cheer up your January.

Here’s to a great start to the year. Thank you for reading. 😁

  1. Yes I have the January blues too. For me, Christmas is so much fun and exciting and I always looks forward to it during the year. But in January, I feel a little sad. You are right, it’s important to have something to look forward to and share your feelings which are some of the ways to get over the blues. Great post. I can relate to it πŸ™‚

    1. Ah thank you for visiting. 😊. It can be a bummer right?! On the upside here in the UK we’re gaining a few extra minutes of daylight each day. Spring is on the horizon!

      1. Yay I can’t wait for spring! We got snow a few days ago and it’s beautiful but too darn cold
