This month’s finds have reminded me how much I enjoy visiting new places, learning and being creative. I’m going to squeeze some of this in each month as a little mood booster.
Cheddar Gorge is a limestone gorge near Cheddar, Somerset, England.
It is home to the Cheddar show caves, where Britain’s oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, was found.
The gorge is pretty breath-taking and there is more to do than you’d think. We did a cave tour and a hike which circled the gorge. There is also caving, rock climbing, an Escape Room and more.
We didn’t have time to do all of those things, but guess what? The admissions ticket is valid for a year so we can go back to do the other activities. Winning!
Natural History Museum
Now, I’ve lived in London for nearly 10 years and been to many of the museums and exhibitions, yet this is the first time I have been to the Natural History Museum.
I knew as soon as I arrived that I will be going back there, because there is too much to see in one day. Also they have diamonds and rubies and star-dust!
I think I might have mentioned that I enrolled on a photography course recently, this week I learned about light effects using a slow shutter speed.
Photography is definitely my new hobby. I even committed and bought myself a DSLR camera yesterday, and to say I’m excited about using it is an understatement.
If you have visited the places I mentioned or have suggestions for places I should visit, do tell. They might make it into my monthly favourites.
I’ll also welcome any photography tips.
